Dr. John Gattorna
International Supply Chain 'Thought Leader
John Gattorna is acknowledged as one of the foremost supply chain ‘thought leaders’ in the world today. He has worked in the logistics/supply chain arena for most of his professional life, and has a wealth of experience and insight to share. These days he divides his time between teaching and researching at various universities in Australia, the UK and France; advising a select group of global corporations; speaking on the international conference circuit; and writing books about the design and management of contemporary supply chains. His latest book, Living Supply Chains (FT Financial Times, London, 2006), is creating a lot of interest on all Continents. Chinese language and Indian editions were published in late 2007 and are much sought after. John also has a number of new books under preparation, due for publication in 2008 and 2009.

Nigel has worked for more than 22 years in the shipping and logistics industry sector. Before arriving in Mumbai he worked in Copenhagen for 3 years, as the Global Director for Warehousing and Distribution products. Previously he spent 9 years in Asia, and 10 years in Australia. Samuel has over 35 years experience in transportation industry. His career highlights include General Manager/ terminal manager in Australia and Singapore/ Malaysia with full P&L responsibility for sales, operations and customer service. He also served as managing Director of Operations and Sales for Global Service Participants based in Brussels and Managing Director of Global Sales during his previous tenure in EMEA.

Mr. Christoph Remund

Christoph Remund is Chief Operating Officer, DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) in India.  Based in Mumbai, he is responsible for DHL’s global forwarding operations in India, which include 31 offices and warehouses across the country.

Mr Remund joined DHL in 1992 as DGF Country Manager for Indonesia and was instrumental in expanding DGF’s operations in Indonesia. Among his many notable achievements, he played an important part in establishing PT Danzas Saranaperkasa in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1993.   

Christoph Remund graduated as Shipping Merchant from the Commercial School, Zurich, Switzerland and is also a graduate of the Military Recruitment School at Fribourg, Switzerland.

Prior to joining GPPL, he was MD of Suez Canal Container Terminal, the APM Terminals transshipment hub at Port Said, Egypt, for which facility he had been in overall charge of the planning, building and operation. This included five years in Mumbai back in the nineteen eighties.  Other postings have been in the North America, the Far East and Western as well as Eastern Europe. Mr. Craig Grossgart

Prior to joining the University, Professor Hum worked as a Systems Engineer in the Ministry of Defence.
